Canadian Army Wife (retired)
From 2006 to 2023, I had a blog called Canadian Army Wife. I closed the blog when my husband retired after 36+ years in uniform. You can still find most of the posts in the Internet Archives.
The blog was a labour of love, and closing it was tough, but much of the advice and information was obsolete. I did not want people acting on the advice, and it was too much work for me to bring it up to date.
If you have questions about military life in Canada from a spouse’s perspective, please feel free to reach out.

“It is customary in democratic countries to deplore expenditures on armaments as conflicting with the requirements of social services. There is a tendency to forget that the most important social service a government can do for its people is to keep them alive and free.“
Air Chief Marshal Sir John Slessor, GCB, DSO, MC
